Gold baubles flash at her throat, her arm elegantly arcing through the air as she talks animatedly. She brushes her fringe away from her forehead, catches the eye of her beau. A flush creeps up the back of her neck. Her ribcage tightens around her heart and a tiny pink smile twists her lips. No one notices the clean, but shabby-looking boy in the corner. His robes are frayed at the ends, and there is no pretty girl dolling herself up for him. He tugs on his hair, wonders when his brother’s next payday is. The year is 1926, and much of the western world is going through the era known as the “Roaring Twenties,” “The Jazz Age,” and the “Golden Twenties.” The standard of living is on the rise, the economy is booming after the first World War in the Muggle world, and the name of the game is lavish indulgence. This, however, has a complicated effect in the Wizarding World. Muggle influences are seeping through in the form of culture and fashion, and money is starting to matter more and more. Alliances are being struck across bloodlines while rifts grow within them. Muggleborn shuns Muggleborn, and Purebloods benefit from it all. Left by the wayside are those with little to their names as they struggle to fit in with the bustling students of Hogwarts. What’ll happen to those between the bars? SITE UPDATE! 

Hey, y’all! Sorry for the quiet over the past day or so - we got busy. But! Wanted to let you all know how far along we’ve gotten. We’ve finished up the plot, the rules, face claim, character list (it’s not a canon list as we are an originals site - you’ll see what I mean when we open), and templates.

I have to write up the extra info thread and set up the rest of the forums, and then we are done! As of right now, the launch date is still the 7th, but if we open earlier, of course we will let you know ASAP!
